Student Teaching Application Completion

Your student teaching application is not considered complete until all sections display a green checkmark.

If any section is missing or incomplete, your application will not be processed.

Please double-check:

  • Each section of the application is fully filled out

  • All required documents and information are submitted

  • You see green checkmarks next to every section

Incomplete applications may delay or prevent placement, so be sure to review your submission carefully before the deadline.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Clinical Experience Office.

Student Teaching Placements

The Vacca Office of Student Services coordinates and requests student teaching placements for all eligible candidates during the semester prior to their student teaching experience.

Placement Notification

Student teaching placements will be communicated via your ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ email before the start of the student teaching semester.
We kindly ask that you do not contact the office regarding placement status or timelines, as this information will be shared once finalized.

Placement Guidelines

All placements are arranged within a 50-mile radius of the Kent campus.

  • Please do not seek or arrange your own placement. All placements must be approved through official university channels.

Note: Students in the Deaf Education program will be placed in specialized schools for the deaf. These placements are typically a minimum of two hours away from campus due to the nature of the program.
