Campus preparations are underway for Fall 2026 Move-In as thousands of new and returning students arrive on campus soon. Official move-in days will take place from Wednesday, Aug. 19, through Sunday, Aug. 23. Faculty and staff should anticipate increased traffic along main campus thoroughfares, particularly surrounding residence halls. Several parking lots will be reserved exclusively for move-in unloading during peak hours. To support the incoming class, the university is recruiting volunteers for Movers and Groovers and Golf Cart Shuttle drivers. 

LaunchNET is hosting an event titled "Can You Abra Cadabra  Conversation?" Join us Sept. 29 for an interactive magic show, where RW Magic LLC founder Richard McClendon will perform a one-man magic act that will teach audiences about client acquisition, pivoting, lead generation, and building a reliable customer base! During the second hour of the event, Richard will stroll through the crowd with close-up magic to help audiences learn networking tips and tricks and ask one-on-one questions!

oin the Office of Government and Community Relations for an informative session designed to help faculty and staff better understand their roles as both private citizens and public employees. Whether you're new to public service or looking for a refresher, this session will provide practical guidance to help you navigate civic engagement while fulfilling your professional responsibilities. The virtual session is Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, from 11-11:30 a.m. 

All are invited to pay tribute to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. A special invitation is extended to ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members, or who have family members in the military. The program, Honoring All Those Who Serve, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza. The commemoration ceremony will also be available via live stream. 

Join us Friday, Oct. 2 as fashion alumni share their journeys of starting and growing successful entrepreneurial businesses, from identifying opportunities and building a brand to overcoming challenges in today’s competitive marketplace. Check out Fashion Merchandising student work on display throughout the symposium.
